A new roof for Portford Homes - December 07

Taking its own advice and making the move before the end of the year, Portford Homes has relocated its head office to Thorpe Park in Leeds after over 8 years based in Wetherby.

Portford Homes - part of the Hewlett Group - has taken 3,000 sq. ft at the civil engineers landmark building within Thorpe Park, which is fast being recognised as a hub of Leeds’ professional core.
The firm’s 16 staff have recently moved into the ground floor on Century Way, with enough space to allow for the significant growth Portford is committed to achieving. The move is a clear statement of the housebuilders plans to build on its reputation within the property market in Yorkshire, with plans already in place to significantly expand its land resource and future developments over the next three years.
Located within the commercial complex at Thorpe Park, in the heart of the business district on the outskirts of Leeds city centre the offices provide greater access - being located close to the A1/M1link - and afford over two and a half times the floor space of the previous office.
Comments John Carter, Managing Director: “For any firm, Thorpe Park is one of the best addresses in Leeds. Our move there reflects a forward-looking approach and shows our intent to grow and commitment to providing our own people with an excellent environment in which to work.”
Portford Homes’ office space has been designed to provide visually striking public areas and a stimulating environment for staff. While many organisations emphasise work space at the expense of other areas, the building offers space features extensive communal areas.

Portford Homes is currently building a choice of superb new homes at Chantry Square in Wakefield, The Vision in Bingley, Spenmill Grange in Cleckheaton, Scarthingwell Park near Tadcaster, Ingleton Mews and Cypress Heights in Barnsley and The Sidings in Church Fenton.
