Long-standing suppliers, sub-contractors and Portford Homes employees have been invited to a charity ball at the five-star Old Swan Hotel in Harrogate to eat, drink and be merry but most importantly put their hands in their pockets to help boost the funds of the leading children's charity.
John Carter, Managing Director at Portford Homes commented: "As well as building quality homes across the region, we also recognise our responsibilities beyond the community of this business, towards the wider community in which we live and work. The good work done by the NSPCC is a cause in which we believe strongly and have supported in the past.
"We are hoping all our guests will dig deep on the evening of the 26th to help raise funds that will go some way to helping the charity continue its good work."
The event will gather together some of Portford Homes' closest suppliers, sub-contractors, business advisors and employees and the housebuilder will also be welcoming representatives from the NSPCC, who will able to tell the guests first-hand what a difference their generosity can make.
By hosting an exceptionally generous auction featuring football memorabilia including a 1970's Brazil shirt signed by Pele, plus a raffle, Portford Homes is hoping to raise in excess of £7,000 on the evening.
Katie Bland, corporate fundraising manager for NSPCC, says: "The Portford Homes charity dinner is a fantastic way to support the NSPCC, whilst having fun at the same time! All the money raised will go into helping us continue our services in helping the most vulnerable children and young people in our communities.
"We are very grateful for the ongoing support of Portford Homes, it would not be possible for us to continue our fight to bring an end to cruelty to children without the generosity of companies like them."
Portford Homes currently has a number of developments including Chantry Square in Wakefield, Ingleton Mews in Barnsley, The Sidings in Church Fenton and the newly launched Cypress Heights in Barnsley and Vision in Batley.
